This is an IEP I wrote for a third grade student after their initial referral. I obtained information from the student, assessments I administered to him, his grades, his state test scores, his general education teachers, his mother, the social worker, and the school psychologist.
After each benchmark test, teachers created a data presentation to present during our grade-level meeting. This is my MOY presentation where I dissect my data and plan my next steps.
At Wildwood Elementary school, one of the pull out groups contained kindergarten and first grade students. Although the students were at different levels, they all had phonemic awareness IEP goals. In order to work on these goals, I developed this EdTPA lesson plan that focuses in on one student's IEP for my first observation.
I worked with two third grade students that made self deprecating comments often. In their general education class, they were working on a narrative unit. In order to address their low self-esteem and their IEP goal on dictation. For a lesson, I gave them affirmation cards and asked them to write a narrative of a time they embodied one of the affirmations. This allowed the affirmation to resonate on a deeper level. This is one of the students responses.
